hi
i have been out a number of long rides on my aerox and got stuck in traffic and my temperature gauge has never moved it starts at 40 and it hasnt even got to that is it because of my 70 kit?? does anyone else have the same problem with a 70 aerox

well basically my temperature gauge has never moved even after going on long 2 hour rides. I have got a feeling it is because of my 70 kit???

I doubt it. Did you upjet? If not, it should be getting even hotter than normal. Did you re-connect the thermostat correctly after installing the big bore kit? Sounds like the thermostat isn't connected properly.

i didnt fit the 70 kit it was already on it but i checked the jet size and its a 86 (standard size aerox jet) it dosent make sense

Firstly, if it's the standard jet size then you will need to upjet if you have a 70 kit. Your engine is probably running extremely lean at the moment with the standard jetting. Secondly, check the connections on the thermostat.

right upjetted my standard carb from a 86 to a 98 and it still feels and goes the same surely it should go faster then 60 for a 70cc?? and its using alot more fuel

So the neddle is not moving off the stop at all then ?
Sounds like the temp sender is either not connected (has the 70 kit got a place for it) or something has bust.

Should be something like a little switch with 2 wires coming off it somewhere usually around the cylinder area.

Could be it was overheating and the previous owner disconnected it so no one would know.... Sick

right the bike has now siezed and it has melted all the gaskets so i need a new barrel and piston so obviously the temp sender wasnt working!!

I think i would go back to std and not waste any more money. If you want faster then get a 125.
