Taken from the Times...

https://www.timesonline.co.uk/multimedia/archive/00287/ferrari_287392a.jpg

A Ferrari that will be sold for just over £1,000 has gone on display in Germany. The Italian manufacturer has produced a go-kart that will feature the prancing horse logo as well as an on-board computer, seven gears, a leather steering wheel and rubber racing tyres.

The pedal-powered Ferrari FXX was shown for the first time at the Nuremberg Toy Fair and has attracted a waiting list of 500 parents in Britain. It was developed after the Dutch company Berg Toys approached Ferrari with the idea last year. “You aren't going to break any speed records but you will probably get up to 15mph to 20mph depending on how fast you can pedal,” Andrew Reynolds, the British sales manager for Berg Toys, said. He said that it was intended for children but added: “The seat is adjustable so it can be driven by a grown-up.”

https://www.kettlergokartsales.co.uk/library/images/KT%20Nitro.jpg

I had one when I were a lad (not that exact one, the design has come a long way since then) but they were definately the street sleeper of pedal go karts... Wink

Would smoke that Ferrari for a tenth of the price Razz

That ferrari has too high a centre of gravity, looks like it could roll quite easily.

Not like my old plastic wheeled kettler. Cool

See any real 6 year old self composed boy racing ferrari racer
would be sticking 14" wheels on their, making a better power to weight ratio, less grip, more drifty drift haha

Looks pretty sweet, im not liking the lack of seatbelt ness tho.

Kettcar... lets find a big hill, drag the thing to the top and then fly down the hill hoping no change in direction or speed is needed.

Spoken like a true biker.

I had one of those original kettcars too, but mine was blue and more battered, oh and the plastic back wheels were like lumpy slicks due to skidding round some of the hills on Kursaal estate in southend.

I had that one too. It fucking rocked.

Did so many skids in mine that the wheels split. Mine didn't have proper tyres, just plastic wheels with a different plastic bit bonded on a bit like a tyre. It separated. Traction was less positive after that, but it skidded even better.
