PostPosted: 16:03 - 22 Feb 2008    Post subject: Bastard laser pens!! Reply with quote

I was walking through a shopping centre earlier when three kids (about 12/13yrs old) walking towards me shone their laser pens in my face. It didn't bother me at first and I just gave them filthy looks as I walked past them with the comment "dead clever you aren't ya"

Since I've come home though (about 2 hours ago) I've developed a major headache and my right eye has gone really blurred. The only way I can describe it is like when you go light headed and can't see anything but it only seems to be around the edge of my right eye, and it's doing my nut in.

Is there anything I can do other than just sit and hope it wears off soon?

Sounds more like a Migraine to me.

Bad headache, blurry vision, are both common symptons.

Is the blurring like little zig zags of white light, like constant lightning in your field of vision. If so its Migraine.

I didn't know they were the thing to have still! I remember you could get the lenses that created pictures, ie a very large pair of wabs projected onto the wall of a building.

Kids are 'orrible little things, I went to a bike shop yesterday and as I was putting my lid on some scrote came out of KFC and started shooting me with his duck shaped umbrella.

No idea about the eye problem, I spent a few months getting laser'd and I'm fine Smile

Went to see my doctor earlier, he said he couldn't see much so I just have to go and see an optician so they can do some better tests next week if it persists.

Come on, the amount the kids spent shining a light in your eye from a wonky distance can't really be affecting this bad surely.

Contact the shopping centre and get them to look at the CTV, The shopping Centre has a duty of care to its customers. Get the little chavs banned and ASBOd.

They were walking towards me and shone them up until they had passed right by my side. I've never suffered any problems with my eyes before and I aren't going to make stuff like this up.

I'm not saying you would fella, and I'm not giving an example as recently my off hand comments have come true, painfully, and I value my eyesight(think of my eye from the crash).

I hope it turns out fine and dandy I just wouldn't of thought such exposure would amount to anything.

Ah I get ya. It isn't that bad now to be honest, seems to have gone off a fair bit. Can't be too careful with your eyesight though can ya.

As you only ever get one pair of eyes it better to get them looked at than suffer.

If the lazer light hits the right spot it can damage the eye.

Prats like them need the light jamming up his rear end to see if it shines on a brain cell....
