I dont have a clue but from the looks of the exhaust its for rugged terrain possibly military?

I cant decide if I like the look, it does look quite hardcore though Razz

As I mentioned on your last "rat" post, I'm not a fan BUT I can understand the style/reasons for doing this.

I only dislike ONE thing about your 125 and that is the extremely SILLY looking hand gaurds.... They look out of place and have no need being on an otherwise decent looking machine. IMO.

I do like the 250, however I would only say that she will remain looking good as long as she isnt "ratted", again IMO.

Cheers.[/i]

rat bikes, its basically a case of keep it on the road as cheap as possible, and mod it to fit whatever your doing with it.

my CG more drops into the survival bike section, in that its designed to last forever,

the hand guards are a necessity im afraid, i need the protection for when i go off-roading as the old guards resulted in broken levers whenever you drop it, these are solid as hell. all the mods are pretty much based on increasing off-road ability, hence the hi level exhaust so i can get through the bigger water crossings.

oh the RS is staying clean at the moment, ive got no plans to rat it, but its still living like a rat bike in that ill fix it as cheap as possible if it goes wrong (hence the home-made rack)

Cheers
John

Nice bikes John, although it isn't the road I'd go down myself, there's something very cool about your CG.

call it dumbo with those ears...

scuse me for being pedantic... but if like you said, a rat bike is something thats on the road for as little as possible...surely you spent more turning yours into that then you did leaving it stock?
i saw what it was like before you hacked up a perfectly good CG.

true, but the little ammount of money ive spent (basically just the tyres, i had pretty much everything else floating around) to convert it into a better trail bike is a hell of a lot less than if id have bought a new off roader/ brought correct parts/jackup bits acerbis guards etc..

Cheers
John

p.s. glad you like it nick Wink
