Been to see my brother this weekend up in Blackpool, its a boring 100 odd mile trip up the M6.

On the way home I was desperate for a pee so stopped at a service station, parked up next to a brand new GSXR 1000. Went into the services to do what I needed and when I came out I saw 3 people around my bike and the GSXR. As I got closer it became apparent they were moving the gixxer. Parked just behind them was a blue van with its doors open.

I asked them what they were doing and they said " its ok mate we are recovering it its broken down"

I asked to see some ID and asked where the owner was to this they replied "fuck off is none of your business"

With that I called the police, the theiving scrotes dropped the bike jumped in the van and drove off.

The bike didnt look to badly damaged, just scuffed and to their credit the police came in about 5 minutes. By which time the owner of the GSXR had come back.

He was less than happy to say the least, but pleased his bike didnt get stolen.

I cant believe theives have the balls to try something like that in daylight infront of dozens of people. Im carrying a lock with me from now on.

If you see a blue Reanault van with the reg M274 DJU please call the police!

Tossers, well done.

Theives are the only thing that could potentially ever put me off of bikes. I'd never ever have a new one because of this Sad

that's the time they try it because then they can blend in to th traffic and be harder to spot. if they did it at 2 am or something the chances are they are the only blue van on the road. whereas in the afternoon or whenever there may be more. it's horrible to think they get away with it a lot of the time too.
well done for stopping them - did you get a reward? Smile

Its probably not on the database as the plates are very likely to be false and/or the van stolen.

I just hope someone would do the same if they saw one of our lots or any bike being stolen.

Im just glad i kept my temper and didnt go in with arms flailing, probably would have ended up having my ass kicked!
