Been thinking about this for a while.

I can get a few products alot cheaper than people in the UK.

Pazzo's, Yoshi, Two brothers and pretty much anything.

Even a lot of gear like Joe Rocket etc.

Easy enough to write gift on the stuff for tax and that.

Been asking about setting up a trade account with my local garage which is suzuki and kawasaki so can get a decent price on parts and they have no problems with it. Can have a similar deal with a bike breakers to.

But how much interest would there be.

How many £400 exhausts do you reckon will get through as a "gift"?

Having said that, thing like jackets and stuff may get through.

Biggest problem would be if sending to/from the same address it would soon flag into customs that there are a lot of gifts of high value arriving. May get away with one exhaust, but when 3 have arrived, i think you get the idea Crying or Very sad

While gift may work for the odd item sending lots of stuff will soon be picked up and then a nice big bill will arrive for the avoided tax, that they estimate is owed. Shocked

Wrap the items in condoms and get a Latino chick to swallow them before flying to the UK, can't fail IMHO.

But what about if he declared them and had the tax paid for? Would he still be able to sell them for less than you can get them in the UK?

When i was working in NY i sent lots of jackets back and forth between offices abroad. I just labeled them "sample" bunged a lowish value on there and it was fine.

You are making a classic new business mistake.

You want to sell expensive high value parts with a low profit margin that have a limited market.

We have already discussed buying parts that have a low purchase price and the potential for profit in the 300%+ range so why do you want to sell high cost low margin items?

You need to look into import/export a bit more closely mate!

What's this tax you speak of?

Basically, if you've paid VAT on the items, you can do whatever you like with the items in your possession.

^Haha! ^ Looks like I walked into that one!

In that case I reckon you could get away with it via an ebay store! If it was only a small-scale outfit you had going.

Cheers for the replies.

After a helpful convo with the pup. I shall be looking into a little more closely and see what I can do.
