Grrr this topic annoys me sometimes.
Basically I wanted to buy a new PC monitor and graphics card from www.scan.co.uk on a buy now pay 6 month no interest deal, this because I know I will have money in 6 months.
So I add the items to my basket and it comes to over £300, the required amount to get finance.
Then I put my billing address in, which is my home address in Somerset, but I want it delivered to Coventry my term time address. But it says "you need a credit card tied to this address to get it delivered." Damn so I thought.
So I emailed customer services telling them I could provide alternative ID if need be and they wrote back saying that they can't do it.
It's so frustrating as I wont be back in somerset for another month of so. I know it's done for security reasons, but i've bought from them before so I can't understand why they just can't let me have it. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. You could just change the billing address to your term-time address, it will save your parents' forwarding post and you'll be able to get the finance. Just got to make sure you change it again at the end of the year, my Halifax statements are still going to last years' address. |

I had this problem. Then I found you can have more than one address that 'works' with your credit card.
You can do it over the phone (after answering the security questions). My credit card now goes through with my home, work and my parents address. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
