Three years to count towards 12.

Four years physically.

Five years is the time your insurance company wants to know about.

if you ever need to send you licence to the DVLA you get them printed.

as said

3 yrs for totting up
4 yrs for court/police purposes
5 yrs for greedy insurance companies

you can IIRC have them removed from your licence after 3 yrs

It varies from insurance company to insurance company. Some want 5 years, some only want 3/4.

As I recall, they're active for three years but noted for four. After that you can have them taken off. I have a whole tranch ready to come of mine but I'm scared to send my license away in case the "check stuff out" and I don't get it back. Embarassed

Thumbs Up
