That said Manchester still has 2 blue Pan ST1100 bikes which are unmarked police bikes , and I believe a black VFR800.

EDIT , a few cops in Manchester use Deuvillies too, which are wasted by my NTV too.

But its probably cus the ST1300 was reputed to be a death trap and Honda admitted no liability, and St1100s (like one I look at on Sat was completely corroded top bits).

However look at the bright side the ST1300 will do 145mph, the BMW I believe only does 129mph.

Time for a story though , A38 when I left Falmouth for the last time was rainy wet and horrible, I'd turned off at the Star Hill (Bodmin Shell where there are windmills) towards Saltash at about [censored] in the heavy rain and covered in luggage which wasn't too bad a cop Pan overtakes me as if I am standing still, he slows down a bit looks over and takes off again , I think I saw the front wheel come up , though I can't be sure since there was so much spray.

It may well have been the cop who'd caught the southern legend at 2 times the speed limit.
