No kidding here, i'm in Coventry.

I'm just sat at my PC reading about Concorde's on Wikipedia funnily enough when all of a sudden the house starts shaking violently, i'm thinking WTF!!!!! This was for about 5 seconds!

My heart is fucking pounding, it's the weirdest feeling i've ever had!

There are still some aftershocks as my bottle of water is still rippling!!!!

Scary (but kinda fun shit)

I bet it's like richter 2. Laughing

Happened before once, next day i awoke to reports of tremors, so I'm posting now just to say I felt the house shake!

^ I rushed to post that on my bulletin board at 00:57am. I live in Bedford. ^

no, I didn't feel any after shock, I was too busy trying to be the first to post about it on the net Laughing

which I managed on two forums, if not this one Laughing

there was a low rumbling, my sofa shook/oscilated a fair bit, and I had time to think "hey this is an earhquake, I'm going to concentrate and enjoy this" and then it was pretty much over. Very Happy

Must have been quite a big one.

I felt it quite violently, as in it felt like the house was about to twist and collapse. LOL. but then i'm quite excitable so am probably exageratting a little.

I live near a road when lorrys go by it sometimes rumbles, i thought na thats too loud to be that, in the first split second thought it was someone falling down my stairs but it went on for longer so i was like what the hell and my wardrobe is shaking. It seemed to last ages!

I've had a plane fly real low over my house before that made things shake but i thought no theres no noise, i was like woahhh man what the hells going on.

Went appear offline on msn and put my name to 'did anyone elses house just shake?' and popped online (thinking everyone would laugh at me for being stupid) but mates in Sheffield, Leeds, Lincoln, Manchester all said their room shook like mad too!

Shocked

I felt it here in Wigan. The USGS has logged it as 4.7 on their site which is quite a strong tremor for this country.

Woke me up in Barnsley, S.Yorks. Thought it was my mate banging on the wall to get me to turn my music down but after about 3 seconds of my bed shaking I realised it was a quake.

Put a beauty of a crack in the newly plastered front room. The Fucker.
