I just got an email through from M&P, which coincidentally had some offers on soft luggage which I'd just been looking on eBay for.
The ones I'm interested in are in the link
https://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=901894
They look like a good price, as on eBay a fair few of the kits were pushing £50-£60.
Now, I've asked this before, but are they quite universal? I've not bought my new bike yet, but am looking at a GS500 or a GPZ500S and would like the ability to carry some clothes home for the holidays.
So, yes or no?
Will they fit?
Do they seem like a good price?

GPZ500s and GS500E's have fairly low exhausts which is probably the main issue really nylon melts , rain covers melt even worse.
Since if the straps don't fit under the seat you can put them over the seat instead, my panier straps only the velcro ones fit under me CBR seat but really far forward so I put them above my seat.
on the NTV they also don't go under the seat.
But considering I rode to Monaco and back with the above my seat, hitting it pretty hard they shouldn't fall off if loaded evenly and you can rest them on pillion pegs too.
EDIT
since putting the straps under your seat is supposed to give a measure of security you might want to buy a few of those cable locks to secure them to the bike to prevent somebody lifting them off your bike , but as said I didn't and went swimming and it was still there. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die.
