I'm hearing that GB stickes are compulsory if you're riding in France.

Any idea if there is a regulated size that they have to be, and suggestions about where to stick 'em? Smile

I heard that too, but the one I attached to my panniers had come off before I reached dover! I saw plenty of other uk bikes and hardly any had one. I doubt it matters that much tbh.

They are supposed to be compulsory but cops don't care,

I didn't use one nor did Bill, (though I changed my mind at Dover and bought one but didn't use it ) infact nobody from the UK had a GB/EU sticker plate, only the cars and vans had them , nobody on the ferry had them.

BMW man tours lots and doesn't have one,

Nor did any of the saaf group when they went to Santander.

And according to bill and the British group I met on the Swiss border using one is blasphemy!.

However since you are the type who has a giant golden finger pointing towards you when you are not 100% legal , for peace of mine perhaps you should get one.

I didnt bother when I went on the GSXR, infact the numberplate fell off just after we left Calais and I rode to Holland without it and no one batted an eyelid. Laughing

I rode across France without one and had no problems with the Coppers.

these can be found anywhere, such as your local car spares place or caravan place.
you may find that a local sign writer has a template on their computer and can make some up in 10 mins.
i`ve got 1 on each pannier, but the only issue I can think of with using them is if you stick 1 on your number plate, and it partially obscures 1 of the letters.
