He buys cans off ebay and sells them on for more money, just what I used to do. He is honest and genuine but doesn't accept paypal because he doesn't want to pay the fees that's all.

Svae yourself some money and buy from a 'private' seller.

also ..he sells a can and says it fits almost any bike...is this true...is it only the link pipe that differs...

when i look on epay i see...yamaha r6 scorpion can or suzuki devil pipe or zx6r blueflame can...etc...

is there any difference or will they all fit with correct link pipe..

suppose this is why i dont mind buying from him as he would have to know his pipes eh?

cheers stu

I just saw his page earlier on today too and got me questioning. I guess the "fits any bike" will only apply to slip on cans since bolt ons aren't really universal. I'm not sure about link pipe diameters although I am led to believe that it's 52mm is the norm. I guess most end cans are generic and i don't believe that there's any difference between that of an R6 and CBR (bar the link pipe). it's just there so that you'd have to buy for a new can. Bit of bodging will do the job nicely. I had an eye on that akrapovic on his page earlier.

It's not only the link pipe that differs, sometimes they need different exhaust straps so to be done up correctly but kind of yes.

Just remember - He may be able to do good deals on mint cans but he buys them all on eBay anyway...you just need to improve your searching skills and snipe on the right auctions...trying to find badly labelled auctions etc.

I would presume he's doing this on the sly, he will probably be wanted for tax evasion already if he is, he sells a lot of items.

personally think hes onto a good market as its obvious people are a bit unsure when buying a can and probably go to a major dealer because of this...

wondered why they are at really good prices but it is probably as he dont take paypal.......i normaly dont bother if the auction dont take it like many do as its just too much hassle sending off cheques and waiting.......

mightn make an exception in this case...

cheers again chaps for the info
