scotoil ?

Anyone know of any alternative to pricey scotoil ,would gear oil be ok?

used engine oil should work, so I've been told anyway

Try and see. If it runs out at a sensible rate, whatever oil you bung in should be fine. I use old sump oil in my one. I have also used EP90 but it isn't so good in winter on account of being really thick when it gets cold.

Thanks for reply ,will give old sump oil a try next fill up ,unless any one as a better idea?
