A steelie CBR600F , on a P plate I reckon about £1200 - to £1400 for an absolute minter, as said CBR600FX where it was overhauled a fair bit (alloy frame and various other changes) can be gotten for £1500 for a bad condition one (news new pipes, and a few bits replacing) to £2500 for a minter

Pass , but I've been having a look and the CBR600F W isn't exactly a massive improvement over the RF600 , both around the 95bhp mark , both being of similar torque, both being of similar weight, similar brakes.

I'd perhaps say if you upgraded the RF600 suspension ine one of three ways:

Going to Maxton (£££££££) for a complete system (no change from £1000 btw)

Going to maxton for a suspension overhaul still fair pricy £2-£300.

Asking a few RF600 owners for mods , say putting the shock from a newer bike onto it and forks off a newer bike also.

Infact comparing via Bikez an 1994 RF600 vs a 96CBR600 the RF600 scores 70 points the CBR scores 77 points.

but as said mod the suspension and it'll make those 7 points up easy, I modded my suspension on the NTV and in the past it has been a giant killer, unfortunately the engine has lost its top end though.
