selling my bike and put this advert up (not linking to it as im just wanting to know if the advert is good and not to sell it here)

Quote:
This here is my Honda RVF 400 CC that i am sadly having to sell due to moving abroad and is simply to expensive to take with me which is really sad as i have only owned this for such a small amount of time and never had a chance to take it to its limits. This is a top class bike and despite being 400cc it will still keep up with big bikes on the twisties and is incredibly handy in urban area's as its V4 engine layout is very thin. This bike is becoming fairly rare now due to being a jap only bike and very few were imported into the u.k. The bike has around 36500 Km so around 23,000 miles which is very good for its age.

The bike is in very good condition for its age, very little rust (those japs build dam gd bikes), no rattles, starts perfect everytime (may require choke on cold days), idles perfectly, smooth acceleration, rides like its on rails, smooth gear changes, keeps its temperature well. These bikes were built to last, as long as you do regular oil changes and take care of it i dont see any problems popping up.

I have done a lot of work on the bike in the year i have owned it, this is what has been done to it.

New Chain and sprocket less than 1000 miles
New throttle and choke cables
Finned regulator Rectifier 400's are notorious for burning out the original ones but the replacements fixed this problem
New brake pads installed less than 2 days ago
Oil and filter change changed along with brakes
New windscreen added when during sunny days it was difficult to view the dials easily due to reflection
New mirrors the original mirrors were awful to look with so removed them with adjustable ones so you can see better
Crash Bobbins well obviously there to protect fairings
New downpipes and collector box the originals were a bit tatty so replaced them with new set of pipes
New tyres tyres fitted very recently, 150 or so miles on them

The reg plate is a bit tatty so i'l be replacing it asap

I also have a restriction Kit for £50 available for the bike to restrict it to 33bhp for those with an A2 licence and i will fit it for you for free (will take a day or so to do), its a fairly simple task and it's better than giving a garage £200 for a 2 hour job and paying out rediculous amounts of money to buy a restriction kit (was nearly £250 for the kit plus fitting but have since learnt how to do it myself) and best of all its just as legal as getting a garage to do it, despite what some may say the certificate is useless, all thats needed is for the bike to be less than 33bhp.

Bad points

As many bike owners will tell you the majority of damage is caused at 0mph and sadly this is true here, the bike fell off a dodgy paddock stand and fell against a wall damaging the fairing and scratching the fuel tank, i have included pictures of the damage and as you can see its barely noticable as i have had a professional repair them. also a part of the mudguard fairing was broken off when i purchased the bike but has no effect whatsoever to the vehicle.

The bike is going to get its M.O.T done on the 3rd of september so will have 12 months M.O.T and tax is still valid for another 2 months and only costs £32

Test rides are ok provided you provide a deposit, identification, insurance etc

Auction winner will pay £100 deposit and the rest in cash when collecting the bike

I may be able to deliver the bike for a fee if its not too far away but collection is preferred.

questions and visits are welcome, i have many more pictures available or if you want to see and hear how it runs i can even video it.

**Advertised elsewhere so may end auction early**

then have 12 pics added, various angles and showing the 3 bits of damage to the bike.

is there anything i should add or remove to the add?

as much as someone will pay, there very few rvf's for sale at the moment, maybe 5 or 6 in gd conditions and they are generally expensive.

with the money from this i'l hopefully be buying a bigger bike just after christmas when i come back to the u.k

instead of asking for a deposit for the test ride i would ask for something a little more to be left................like what you would accept for it, and yes i am a untrusting bastard.

Top line should read "too expensive" not "to expensive", looks good really.
