Another excuse to curb our freedom?

Apparently, recent upgrades to security have made it impossible to get into the Commons to witness acid being poured onto what is left of democracy. Yet 5 (apparent) protesters managed to get onto the roof and unfurl some banners. Some say they were allowed onto the roof to create a vehicle for tougher security and liberty erosion. Whilst there is a likelihood of that being quite true, there is a greater likelihood of this stunt being arranged to divert media attention from the IWantAReferendum lobby taking place today.

What say you?

Regards

Interesting timing, I agree. Thinking

Did you see this?

https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7265516.stm

Lib Dem frontbencher Edward Davey has been ordered out of the Commons, after angry protests to the deputy speaker.

They could blow the house of commons up in protest and they'd still do whatever the hell they liked.

It's easy for whoever decides these things to say lets have a third runway but i live right under the flight path and during the summer months (when you have the windows open) it's unbearable.

Not only that, they've started this bloody "Low Emissions Zone" and at the same time are giving serious consideration to another runway at Heathrow?

Norman Baker of the Lib Dems has said "We have had a sham consultation on Heathrow" and he is spot on. It ends today as well and i would be willing to bet everything i own that it will get the green light!

Big business always wins in the end!

Well I've just been down there and guess what?

No sign of any Heathrow protests.

But, there are hundreds and hundreds there protesting the EU treaty and demanding a referendum on EU participation. So there could well be something in Cestrian's claims that the stunt was a diversion tactic - I'm struggling to find anything about the protests on the beeb website. Confused

I was asked to attend the anti-EU protest but didn't fancy the 5 hour ride, just didn't see it as a good use of my time. Gargoyle Broon and his cronies will do anything to quell the feelings of the British people, even wasting public money on diversion tactics.

I was there today, picked up a copy of the column paper and listened to a old lady shouting about the new world order while hanging about.

Thumbs Up

Well here's the BBC spin piece on the protest.

https://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7265502.stm

How strange that four people climbing on the roof was on the front page of the BBC website, yet thousands protesting about the EU scum treaty was hidden amongst the other pages. Confused

Also, how come they don't have photographs of the crowds? Nooooo, that would make it look like lots turned up, wouldn't it.

My God, how obvious their tactics are. Thumbs Down Fecking scum BBC..

I found the LibDem getting kicked out of Parliament very interesting,

Why shouldent parliament be open for debate, fuck structure, discuss the issues of the day!!

Well the vote on if to have a referendum is tonight , and it looks as though Zanulabour will win it and not have a referendum.

Even if 100% of tory say no , it'll get through , since Libdems are ordered to abstain and zanulabour MPs are being bribed to vote how gordo wants them to.

No remember Gordon won a court case against UKIP, which when the UKIP used the manefesto pledge as evidence of a contract, Gordon's QC said ,

Maneifesto pledges and promises are not subject to legitimate expectation.

Thus they have a mandate to lie, if I was registered to vote I would love to be around and grill to death an activist who tried to get me to vote zanulabour.

But as said voting here will do nothing, its not called dole city for nothing you know.
