The plan was to ride up to the 2 garden centres in Bold Heath today and have a look at the tropical fish and terrapins in their aquatic sections.

Instead on my way i saw the little parking lot at the side of one os the NSL roads that I've been meaning to stop at to see what it was.
Today I flew past it and then thought "Sure why not?". Made a U-Turn and went in and parked up and looked around. There was lots of paths leading up to what seemed like a huge green area and I saw people walking up one path with their dogs.
I dismounted my steed and had a look at the huge sign at the entrance. Hmm... Fishing lakes you say... That should be worth a look.
I walked up the path supposedly leading to the first lake. Got my trusty phone out for some epic shitty quality pics.

Pictures aren't great but hope you enjoy the view anyway. Wasn't much picture worthy other than the view as I walked up the path higher and higher.

First shot as I walked up to the first little lake (Pond?):

A few more as I walked around:

A bit up the path leading away from the lake. I had no clue where it would lead and where the other "lake" was supposed to be:

What's this? A bench? Good spot for a quick ciggy!:

View down the path from my bench:

Found these under the trees at the side of the path in the shade.
Perfect time to try the "close up" mode on the phone:

Here's a few more pics as I was making my way around the various paths. Didn't try all of them as I was boiling in my leathers:

What's this lurking around the corner as I made my way back?
https://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g43/TwoSock/Bold%20Heath/27082010969.jpg

Oh yes! Happy to see you! I'm spitting feathers and dying for a drink.

So then I made my way home and rushed to the fridge to get ice.
Now sitting here writing this after resizing pics and uploading enjoying this:

So that was my ride for the day. Lovely weather. Suns out... it's hot and a little wind for a nice breeze.
Where did you go today?
