I'll admit the 400 didn't last me long (half a year) but that's more to do with the fact I found my ZXR too uncomfortable to do really long distances on, and hated the way u had to sit at 8000rpm just to be doing 95mph. So i've skipped the whole 600 thing Wink

The CBR6 is slightly cheaper to insure and buy than the zx6, but I wouldnt let that worry you too much if you prefer the zx6. Most important is that you like the bike.

BTW - How much do ya want for the zxr Phoe?

Yeah I know, but that is with a dented frame, and other bits and bobs buggered.

Its very nice, but the cost of it when is is for sale and the cost of fixing it up will come to too much i think.

I'll have a look at some CBR's Smile

What about a kwak zr-7? Unfaired 750 roadster. Reviews dont like the handling but then they are comparing it to zx6/blade et al.

lus, they are dirt cheap to buy. Insurance is fairly cheap as well i think.

I've read and been told nothing but bad things about the ZR-7, if you're looking for a bike like that go for a Bandit 6 or a Fazer.

I think going to a 700 is a too big step from a 125 Confused

They are happy to insure me if I pay them for it. Another £30 to be TPFT on a ZX6R Smile

/me goes to check bank balance to book test again

Why is 700 a big step? You're gonna restrict it anyways right?
33bhp is 33bhp on any bike. Only the weight will vary really.
And IMO a 750 is just as easy to ride as a 125, 400 or 600. You just have to have confidence in your riding and respect the power of the bike.

Hi

If you want to ride it hard then a jump to a 750 is way to much. If you want it as transport, and to get used to the weight and carry pillions then a 750 is probably better than a 400 or 600

All the best

Keith

Hi

Afraid not. My Bandit still has the little standard carbs (and trying to hold open a bank of flat slide carbs for any distance doesnt appeal Rolling Eyes )

All the best

Chances are the zx6 has more power than the zr7 and because of the way it delivers it you will probably be more likely to kill yourself on that.

i thought they claim 159?

and luke, chances are you will be faster than me through twisties and the like anyway, cos you have been riding longer anyway Razz

and dru, firestorms would be nice, but I doubt any insurance would want to touch me, and it is a little bit big for a second bike. unless you wanna sell me yours on the cheap Razz
