Hi,

My first post here, just to introduce myself and show my new Bike.

I currently live in Bermuda - have been here 8 years now - was originally from just outside chelmsford.
There is a cc limit on bikes here - with the maximum of 150cc. I've had scooters here but decided to get a 'proper' (ha ha) bike with a view to learning how to ride properly and gain road experience.

So - my first 'proper' bike was a Kymco Zing sort of a cruiser rip-off, 125 4T. Loved it, but to be honest - the weather here (lots of humidity, rain followed by sun) was reeking havoc on the bad quality chrome and I was getting fed up of trying wage war on the rust, only to slowly lose and have to replace parts !

So - sold the Zing and bought the bike below. I'm so glad I did. its a 2006 Derbi Senda 125SM. Absolute bargain of 750 quid ($1500) when you consider in that time its been ridden twice and has sat in some blokes shed for 2 years ! Its done 280Km in total over that time and is basically still brand new ! (Have done an oil change just as a precaution).

Wow ! What a blast this thing is ! Totally different to the Zing and much the better for it - I am absolutely loving the handling on this compared to the Zing, even with an 'official' low speed limit (35 Km/h - 22mph, which everyone exceeds !) proves you don't need to go fast to have fun !

Some piccies

They're nice bikes - essentially a better version of the XR125 since it uses a modified CG lump. It's a bit of a looker too! At least you'll have fun doing wheelies and stoppies on it!

Well - its only 22 miles long and a mile wide at its widest, the roads are mostly cut through rock with no pavements and are the equivalent in width to the average English 'B' road.....Agree tho, its a little bit low, but I'd not want to see people doing 40/50 mph round here due to all the blind bends and no room for error.

Thats looks smart, I was considering one at one time.

If I lived there, i'd make the maximum of that 150cc limit.

KTM 125 anyone? Laughing
