Does every body just have race cans on???? or have u all got road legal ones and why the hell is all the prices i look at sooooo ramdum.

Scorpion RACE can ST/s from J&S is on special at 60£

then u look at Yoshi cans in yamaha shop and they were 380£ and 450£ for the semi square ish one.???

What the hells going on, all i want is a ST/s can thats got a good looking sticker on the side and makes my bike louder Smile

Assuming you're not bothered about power gains pretty much any can'll make your bike louder, so choose the one that you think the looks the best.

The more expensive ones should have been better 'engineered' to give better power gains.

If possible it's usually best to get your jetting sorted out on a dyno at the same time.

To make it louder, drill out the muffling.

And you get a micron sticker with a micron paddock stand Razz

Seriously though. If you just want it to be louder, buy the one which you like the best.

I havnt bothered to change the can on the nsr

Its for the CBR so thinking that i am sure Mr honda has done a pritty good job but i think that the fact that my DT125 is V loud has probly saved me life a few times with out me realising it. There are some sweet Titanium look cans for 120£ but u have to get a S -pipe to fit em to my header i guess>

ARrrrrrrrr but at least i know others are wondering around with racec cans hummmmm what to buy

I've got a Remus Grand Prix can on my 1200 Bandit which does increase the power by 4 or 5 Bhp.
My V-Raptor is still addorned with it's original Carbon Fibre cans.

You will find qa big fat difference if you dynojet it with a can as well. Completely transforms the bike...

Yeah, I was considering the K&N and re-jet option, but I've decided it's time to retire the old Bandit (anyone want to buy it?) and buy a new commuting bike - probably a ZZR1200 Twisted Evil

My ZXR had a race ART can on and sounds a lot deeper and a lot louder than the standard exhaust, but it's not road legal. My CBR has a road legal carbon Scorpion can on it and it still manages to be loud and sound very nice. I think Remus do some nice road legal cans, have to check if they do them for the CBR600F S tho

The ART cans are cheap, loud and one of the best for power gain but not as well made as some of the others.
Joe Camel had one on his ZX7 and has got em on his Firestorm and theyre just too loud.

lol Race Cans can't be *too* loud, the louder the better if you ask me, wakes more people up and lets other road users know you're coming. Before you mention coppers, if you're worried about that get a road legal can.
