Right, 10 - 40w put into my bike but i didnt measure out .70litres nor can i use a drain bolt because its knackered.

So, how much oil should i have in the bike?

When cold the bike has just below the max line, but when warmed up its asif theres nothing in there, is that right?!

If not how much should i have in when it's warmed up? (guaging by the min/max marks)

dont worry too much , these marks mini/maxi are quit impossible to read correctly . one thing is sure : better to drain when hot
an other thing is sure 0,7 L of 10-40W not less not more
and last when it has been done , run 2 years or 3000 miles before next change and just watch under your bike for spots

my problem though alains is my drain bolt must be clogged and id rather not take the whole casing off again so i have to syphon the oil out via a piece of tubing.

What i need to know is, with reference to the max/min marks where should my oil level read when hot and cold, when its cold it reads max but im worried because when the engines warmed up and stopped its as if theres no oil in there (according to the window)

Does this sound right?, it looks like i might have to remove the whole casing and coolant again Sad

better you work on take off the drain bolt and replace it . this is a diameter 6mm bolt , drill a 4 or 5mm hole in the center and use an extractor , then change bolt

I think it's my own fault anyway as i held the gasket in place when fitting it with some silicon sealant which must have clogged the drain hole... ill blast the hole with some compressed air and see if it frees up Thumbs Up

Thanks for the advice Smile
