After a few days i still cant figure out why the temperature/overheating light is constantly on.

This is a 2006 Peugeot XP6 by the way...

As soon as i turn the ignition on, dont have to start the bike, the light comes straight on.

My dads mate tested the temperature sensor and seemed to think it was arite but it could still be that. Really havnt got a clue tbh...

Any ideas? Completely stuck now!

Thanks in advance! Thumbs Up

If you remove the wires from the sender what happens, does the light go out ? if not connect them together and they should go out, if they don't then...
Try tracing the wiring all the way and see if there is somewhere where the wire's has worn through and is grounding itself.

How did he test it ?

If in doub't swop it out.

If its like the other sensors on the xps's
there connector blocks, if the sensor is which the tanks are.

Wait for it to come on, take sensor blocks apart, if it goes out then you know the sensor is fucked.

The light never goes out really... Confused

Its got like one prong on the top and Peugeot can only do one with 2 prongs for £46.05.

Dont know where to get one from... Do you think its worth asking people who are breaking bikes?
