Can you whistle with your fingers?

Like the title suggests.

And how do you do it?

I have ben trying for ages but only succeeded with a short burst so if anyone could tell me, in a step by step way will be coming your way.

I can do it. It took me a lot of GCSE maths lessons to perfect it but once you get the hang of it it is easy. If you can get a little burst that's the start of it. Just keep practising to trying to get the little bursts and eventually it will become a full blown whistle.

Ok, so it works like this......

You curl your tounge back halfway over and keep it there....kinda by sucking it.... then place two fingers of your choice (both middle fingers or the index and ring finger on one hand are my preference) an place these on top of your curled back tounge with a small gap between the fingers.

Now close your lips around the edges of your fingers, leaving a small gap in the centre of course, as that is where the air will come out and produce whatever harmonious melody you choice to project....

You'll have to play around a bit to get the ideal air hole, but thats the general jist of things.....

Oh yeah I can do with all fingers and all that, but this certainly isnt for beginners or the faint of heart

See, whistling through the teeth is something I want to do, like Dr Cox in scrubs does, never been able to accomplish anything close though

Yeah I can, but I can't explain how. All you need to know really is that you need to create a little hole beneath your tongue with your fingers to get the air through.

Also don't blow too hard.

Why do you want to ?

I used to do it all the time when I was a teen, was useful for calling for mates without having to get off my bike, now its only useful when one of the dogs disappears.
