Hi

90% likely a shadow.

Seems wider at the top and I would expect a crack there to be wider at the bottom (with the weigth of the bike acting through the swinging arm).

All the best

Keith

Check the dark line just to the right of the weld.

All the best

If you look where the weld continues at the bottom, just behind the exhaust, out of the sunlight, there's no sign of a crack.

This combined with the fact that if it was a crack then that part wouldn't be photographed leads me to believe it's a shadow.

Surely it would crack from the bottom up? Like "^" rather than "V"

Not only do you get lots of power and little weight, but you get an extra gear too, suppose that might justify the price tag Smile.

Generally the more money you spend on a bike - the more you lose when you sell it. I've seen a couple of high-spec turbocharged Hayabusas sell for half what it cost to build them - and one was on offer for quite some time before finding a buyer.

That's why I keep telling the kids on provisional licences to leave them alone and to desist in their attempts to 'derestrict' them.

People like to OWN fast, stupidly tuned bikes. They like to BUY totally standard ones.

Personally I would pay less for a bike with a can on it, unless the original was with it (in which case about the same), and certainly not pay extra for bungs.

All the best

Keith

Stock (or very near) bikes are definately easier to sell. Any re-painting at all, unless it very high quality, will also lower the value for most IMHO.

Can = thrashed.

Bungs = Ridden in such a way as they expected to crash. Or indeed, may already have been crashed pretty hard but you can't see the bent frame for the virgin plastics.

I highly doubt Toby's bike is thrashed he babies it.

Bungs are there just in case.

And all my bikes came/still have the stock can around.

Some of you people are really anal.
