I'm working in India at the moment and I have literally been having curry for every meal. My hotel is like one in the UK with a buffet breakfast, but when you go to the buffet it is all curry-type food. Luckily I do like curry but I had enough this morning so tried the manky looking cornflakes... I think I'll go back to curry.
Major excitement of the night was having fish and chips delivered to my room. Tasted so good. I haven't been ill yet, but now I'm wondering if I should have eaten the tartare sauce. Been using bottled water for everything including brushing teeth.
I had a whole bunch of jabs before I came out but official advice is against malaria for this area (Chennai). This seemed to surprise the Indian guys I am visiting. I am putting my faith in this malaria map . I can feel a couple of mosquito bites so fingers crossed!
Haven't seen much of the city as I am just going from hotel to office. It is bloomin hot and I am grateful for a/c. Traffic is mental here. From my room I hear not stop horns from cars and bikes. All the bigger vehicles have "sound horn" on the back. Don't think I could cope riding my bike here - I've even seen some bikers without full leathers!
I used to think that the whole Indian guy speaking and rolling their head thing was some kind of 1980's racist pi$$-take, but they really do it. Some of them are really exaggerated - as soon as I say anything to them they start rolling. The Indians are really nice and friendly but the head-rolling almost makes me lol. I do struggle with how servile some of them are though - feel a bit sorry for some of them. I'm starting to feel like I shouldn't ever have to open a door for myself!
Only bad news is that I have had to extend my stay by a week to get more work done. I was looking forward to going home on Sunday.
Well, I'm rather bored and got lots more work to do (was working till 3am last night then up at 8am) so I thought I would share that with you. Got Chicago in May so I expect that will be more fun!
Rah, rah, jet-set, jet-set, kiss my carbon footprint baby. (wish I got business class ) ____________________ About me|@Major_Grooves|My company|Digg|Flickr |

Too much of a good thing is bad, ie if your favourite food is pizza and you have it too often it becomes bland , bit like male porn stars in that they perform so often their personal sex lives are generally ruined. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die.
