Ok so Im going to take my CBT soon and I need a few things answering please.

Im only 16 so I can only ride a 50cc but if I take the CBT on a moped, will I be able to ride a geared bike such as an RS50?

This is because my plan is to pass my CBT on a moped and then buy a geared bike and get used to the gears on my estate as Ive never rode a geared bike. If that makes sense lol.

Also can anyone reccomend an ideal first bike with gears?

Sorry if I sound like an idiot I just dont know much about bikes lol.

Thanks any help appreicated.

Yeah once you have the CBT it doesnt matter what you ride after it
So you can get a geared bike as long as it doesnt exceed 49cc and is limited to a top speed of 31mph

When you turn 17 you can jump onto a 125cc without re-taking your CBT as well

CBT is valid for 2 years, if you havent passed your test by the 2 years you will need to re-take the CBT course
