Hi

Just take it down the local tip

Mind you they have a sign up saying no trade waste. Charlotte took a load down once and says she got some odd looks while dumping 95 litres of oil into the waste oil container Rolling Eyes

All the best

Keith

Hi

95 litres was about 1~2 years worth I think. I have about 40 litres of used oil floating round at the moment I think

With 4 four stroke bikes needing oil changes (say 3 litres each on average), plus the cars (4.5 litres for each of the Alfas, 6.5 litres for the Maserati), plus occasionally doing neighbours cars (so that is another few cars that get done) I go through a fair amount

Tend to buy the oil fom the local BP depot is 20 litre drums

All the best

Keith

Hi

The Bimota is mine, but is 10 years old (so some other sucker took a £10k drop in price for 4500 miles), and is on a nice cheap classic bike insurance policy (so is the RS125 Laughing , they take the average age of the bikes on the policy to make sure it is over 10 years old)

The Maserati is my better halfs car, and needs the bodywork sorting out. It is gettting a tad urgent

All the best

Keith

i didnt actually know you were meant to dump it in a special way... i usually just poor it down the drain. I only use 600ml every couple of months so it isnt that bad Razz

i assume its damaging to the environment or something? could you not just stick it in a plastic bottle seal it and then chuck it out with the normal rubbish? that ends up at the tip anyway.

Hi

Not meant to dump it in the rubbish as it lands up in landfill sites, leaks out and sticks oil into the ground water.

The stuff they take down the dump will be reused, either as cheap engine oil or as heating oil

All the best

Keith
