Virus, Colin and myself went along to redmarley hillclimb today, partly to meet the legend that is 1930 ariel. After wandering around for about half an hour we tracked him down, just about to do a practise run

After that we climbed the hill and watched the bikes tackle the top, you dont realise just how steep it is until you hike to the top

We then wandered down to the start line, one highlight was seeing someone pull a wheelie as they roared off the line only to carry it through into a full 360 spin - unfortunatley i didnt get a pic, but the guy just shook his head, got back on the bike and roared off up the hill Thumbs Up

As luck would have it we met up with lee r, who pointed us in the direction of Austin Vince of Moto Enduro fame. I purchased a dvd and he very kindly signed it and posed for a pic

He's a top bloke, a total nutter but it was most definatley a cool thing Laughing
All in all a good day, if not a bit chilly Thumbs Up

was a great day, glad i went, was a bit cold but the sound of unsilenced brit bikes racing up a hill combined with the smell of methanol and some 2 strokes was awesome.

good pics nick, liking the one of austin Laughing

Cheers

Have some Karma for the photo of Autsin. Reading mondo enduro at the moment, awsome to see him still reeling in the exposure Laughing

My post from the Midlands section:

Box 1 Heat 1 (No.37 - WalliT aka 1930Ariel) not a great start but made up ground and was third hitting the last incline.
https://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc162/lrogers_album/No37a.jpg
Sadly this is a split second before it all went wrong, but only the first two from each heat went through.
https://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc162/lrogers_album/No37b.jpg
And then as if the day couldn't get any better, we met Austin Vince of Mondo Enduro fame, so we threw some money at him and had our picture taken.

From left-right: Austin, beatnck2, virus, colin1, and me (LeeR) not my most flattering pose but hey, I met Austin Vince and he gave me a Terra Circa badge Mr. Green

When Virus came over he kept looking at the bike and saying "Awesome". I was thinking " you wouldnt be saying that if it was your bollox that are about to be reduced to rasberry jam riding the bloody thing".

I cleaned her off today and have decided on a few changes for next year. I can't wait for another go at that hill.

The Badger IS awsome!

You and it are now my desktop background. Feel honoured!

Great pics folks, I wanna go next year, it looks brilliant. To watch at least, sooner Wal than me putting his bollocks on the line and competing...

That's Wal putting his bollocks on the line rather than me putting mine on the line. I'm not putting his bollocks on the line either. Oh, feck it, you know what I meant Laughing
