They will still get your plate number.

Only thing that works is taking the plate off completely.

is there anything that can prevent your number being caught by a speed camera?
Does honeycomb stop it?

Nope.

And none of the sprays work either.

One thing that would work I guess would be like those holographics stickers you got as a kid you know you move them and the image moves.

If you could make a plate that reads normally when looking straight at it but from the camera angle it reads something else like Fvck the Poh-leese it may work.

Best thing to do is clone a number off another bike and get a show plate made up. It will make you a total kynt though and you will rot in hell for doing it

best way to obscure your number plate is dirt and oil as you can always claim that you just hadnt got round to cleaning it

they can still bust you, but it doesnt look quite so deliberate

Hmm it would seem logical to make a number plate or a number plate cover out of amber,

see this little comic strip from the 1980s.

The MORE you polish the amber , the more dust it attracts.

Cling Film works well for my 'pa's mate

He's been flashed with me on the back and pretty much all the time and never got a ticket.

Being flashed doesn't mean there was film in the camera, the film still hasn't finished or it's not a 'dummy' camera. Majority of flashes don't lead to prosecutions, I'd say.

What I've heard is one flash tends to be a dummy camera – there was definitely one in London that ‘got’ me that was confirmed to be a dummy.
This was always ‘on’.

Generally I thought two flashes were still seen if the camera had either just run out of film or has been turned on without film.

Halfords has always bugged me that they wont do illegal spacing but will do Honeycomb despite it being illegal

I have seen a better system ........my mates dads got on on all of his bikes its a plastic thing that flips down (and covers the number plate ) when you press a button on the handalbar and flips back up with another button

By the way; the digital Gatsos, I believe, are smaller and generally mounted higher up.
Google should give you some details, if anyone’s interested.

You can also get LCD panels that go black at the touch of a button, but are otherwise clear.

I've seen lots of cars with some sort of wrinkled clear (plastic) film over their rear plates. The film really does break up the image (number) behind the film, from just off-centre. Not sure if it is intended to 'work' with cameras, or just a delamination of crappy plates.
