Living in Spain sucks! Too many scantily clad hot women to distract you from your ride.

Hmmm , how can I come back on that one.

Hmm at least we can drink our tap water and don't get charged for the privilege of our homes being knocked down. Ohh our Motorways are free also.

Hmm, I do like Spain though.

Spanish tap water is perfectly drinkable, at least in Barcelona where I'm at. I don't know what you mean about the homes, and out motorways aren't free (although we have other options just as good)
But renting a flat in barcelona is ridiculously expensive, and buying one is even worse. I think our flat of 150 metres squared was offered to us for sale for 1.4 million euros Shocked
Even a mortgage would be ludicrous

We hear about English people buying a house in Spain.

Then at a later date, the authorities say they are going to build a new road/ new building.

They then knock down the building and charge the owners for doing so and leave them with no compensation.

Riding in the rain is what happends, it dont bother me, not one bit, i'll gladly get the bike out the garage and ride through any rain cos i love biking far to much to let a bit of water to dampen my fun.

Don't head up Las Ramblas (just left of this photo) at about 4am unless you want to be charged down by a load of black prossies desperate for a bit of cash! Shocked
Now that was an enlightening experience.

It's a bit of a media frenzy to be fair kawakid and it's mainly isolated to the southern coast of Spain.

Basically the sheer volumes of people from the UK/Holland/Germany buying property in southern spain is causing a few problems but for the main part it is all media hype.

There was a show on C4 recently and the house they featured was down the road from my parents place and i dont think a ounce of truth was spoken in the whole 15 minute slot.

But meh, southern spain pwns northern spain Laughing

riding in the rain is part of owning a bike. It can be quite fun it you have all the gear on.

i went to Barcelona on holiday last year and the bike culture over in Spain is huge, especially in Barcelona but tbh they are mainly executive men on mopeds Rolling Eyes

By the way, is that giant wooden lobster still there? and right up where the stadium is, the view is immense!
