The Divvy is not a sports bike.
Could downgear a bit to get better off the line.

What are you wanting, better off the line or more top end.

A general health-check might help, if it's not been serviced recently.

However, apart from that for /real/ increases in power you're going to get much, much better value for money by selling and getting a more powerful bike.

A simple thing that can have a surprising effect on the 'feel' is to lube throttle cable and grease under throttle tube.

They aren't a very powerful engine, being old-design 2-valves per cylinder and air cooled. My XJ600 will just about scrape 115mph.
