Ride a little fazer 600, recently my headlight bulb keeps blowing. Nothing has been done to the electrics or lights. Can anyone suggest why this might be happening?
I have gone through 3 bulbs in as many months, whereas my last bulb only got replaced after 24000 miles with headlight always on

Cheap bulbs, moisture getting into headlight, voltage regulator knackered... There are various possibilites.

Try the simple options first such as trying a different brand of bulb next time you have to change it.

I have had 1 bulb from a Yam dealer, one from another bike shop and a cheaper one. It cant be the quality of the bulb as all 3 have lasted about the same time.
Will check on the moisture bit, but don't honestly think that is the problem, will stick a new bulb in for now and see what happens to this one.

Thumbs Up

Hi

Also check the battery level (if it is a conventional lead acid battery).

All the best

Keith

If it is only the headlamp that is blowing it is not liable to be high voltage. is the front end being subjected to excessive vibration in some way?
