I'm gona say no for the simple reason the tyre your running is on a 18 inch rim and you wana fit a 17 inch tyre to it?!

wont fit Rolling Eyes

others will tell you more about tyre width's and not going too wide on a small bike etc

if its a 130/80 instead of a 130/70 i think it will turn in quicker, cos it will be a steeper round (if that makes sense Confused)

i dont think there will be a problem, as long as the tyre fits, and doesnt rub on the swingarm, or underneath the seat cowling which it shouldnt do

HOWEVER

...what hex said Smile

If you put a 17inch wheel on then yeah, it should be OK. As goose said, it should turn in faster but you will lose some straight line stability. Dunno what effect the 17 incher would have tho.

I think you can get stickier growed up rubber on a 17. Or is that just from 140....? I dunno. I may be talking bollocks!

Oh yeah, Ive had a think bout the difference a 17 incher will make as well. In theory, it should both make it turn in faster and slower! Confused
Faster coz its a smaller wheel, but slower coz itll lower the back end and reduce the rake angle. I think. Rolling Eyes
So, in practice Im still not sure what itll do.
