Now i didn't actually go through the Bike Insurer when i took out my insurance, but i did do a quote on their site a couple of months back.

They didn't contact me since and vice versa till today i got an email:

Fahim Chaudhry
Your Key membership number XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

A short time ago you took an insurance quote from The Bike Insurer where you were
promised a free legal expenses policy, just for taking a quote.
That insurance is now brought to you without cost through Your Key membership.

Your legal expenses insurance is in place now, and will be renewed annually at no cost:
- Insurance includes family members, pillions and passengers.
- This means saving money each time you insure a vehicle
- In addition to motor accidents, this cover extends to your home, the workplace and sporting activities.

You don`t have to do anything else. Your Legal Expenses Insurance policy and
your membership of Your Key`s After Accident Support Service is now in place.

Now i cant help but ask, is this for real or is it just a fucking scam?.

Most 'legal expenses policies' are just a scam in the first place.

Often they actually make more money selling your 'claim' on to a no-win-no-fee solicitor than they did from the insurance in the first place!

I've had it for nearly two years. They sent key rings and all sorts of stuff. Not really a scam since they ask for nothing except that you call them first if you have a accident.

Like G said, they make their money on the claim. There are so many offering the service now that there really shouldn't be any reason to pay for legal aid.

It would be good to know who the good ones were though.
