And to be honest I'm feeling rather chuffed, I've made my DT look a few years younger.

I painted the frame and swingarm by hand and even that hasnt come up that bad.

Pictures are before and after

*note*
I have not sprayed the tank yet as I didnt get the time hence why its more eggshell than white lol

For the plastics I used halfrauds rattle cans, just plastic primer, BMW black for the black bits and Vauxhall Polar White for the white bits.

And a couple of cans of clear coat laquer.

All in all it cost me £34 for the plastics and about £15 for the paint for the frame.

The frame was done with white hammerite (smooth finish) and the swingarm was done with gloss black VHT paint which I'd bought for my exhaust only to learn the temp rating for it wasnt high enough Rolling Eyes

Cheers dude, the seat has been recovered temporarily.

I'm getting my mum to cut and stitch me a new seat cover so i'll have no wrinkles in it lol.

Its not a work of art but then I only had 6 days over easter to take it apart, clean, prep and paint.

I was pleased with how the plastics came out though seeing as I've never sprayed paint before.

I enjoyed it and thats what matters the most to me.

Lol I'm aware that sprays and hammerite dont go well with hot exhaust systems, I learnt that back when I had a moped lol.

I used halfrauds matt black VHT. Seems to have done the job nicely and has stayed on so far. Thumbs Up

I spent most of the day today fixing the previous owners shoddy wiring, at least I've got 4 working indicators again. The problem with it being so old is for every bit I fix, something else seems to break.

Still it shifts like a wasp on crystal meth... and keeps a grin on my face. Mr. Green

Yea I keep meaning to buy some, is there any difficulty fitting them?

Will I have to drop the forks from the yokes?

Thanks for the input people. Thumbs Up
