Its often said that people buy cars that reflect who they are and i was wondering if the same applied to bikers.

Im on Ls so im not exactly riding a 125 by choice but out of the bikes that were available i went for an sr125.

Any likeness to my personality? well its old fashioned, comfortable and ultra reliable all of which i think apply to me (im trying not to think of the ugly and slow parts).

What does your bike say about you.

I would ask it, but we can't hear each other over how awesome we are.

The VS is what I want to be: slim, sleek, good-looking, reliable and fun.

The Zeph is what I am: a bit lardy, tempramental, scruffy and not liking the cold and rain much!

My bike does not work - i do not work
The rear tyre is a little square - i need new trainers
The panels are a little scruffy - i have a hole in my favorite jeans
My bike is just over 18yo - i am just over 18yo

I guess with a little imagination and thinking i can make quite a few links between me and my bike but then again you could also say...

My bike is black - i am not black
My bike smokes alot - i do not smoke
The rear tyre is pretty bald - i need a hair cut

you see it works both ways Laughing

My bikes probably don't so much reflect my personality as my lack of money to spend on them!

Hm, this 1 kinda reflects my attitude of being a late teen....
With a "ah, it'll do" opinion for most things.... fairings and some engine bits were bodged up with duct tape and bostic for about a year Laughing

But I'm determined to get my test passed and get a cool Honda 400, then a spangly CBR6RR so yeah, bikes do generally suit their owners I think. Considering as I'm growing up I'm starting to get things done properly. Can't bodge a 6rr up.. Smile

Both of my bikes are fucked, ugly, missing a few bolts and always reak of petrol/oil.

Yes, quite like me then.

The CBR is small, cheeky and a bit highly strung Laughing

The CB is scruffy, getting on a bit but always reliable, even though it grumbles a bit when it has to get started in the morning!! Mr. Green

So, yes. Thumbs Up

My bike is battered and bashed, bit like I am after my terrible life choices.

He is being improved gradually though, as my life is also starting to improve.

He can plod along, as I can sometimes happily plod on

BUT,

I can be temperamental and throw big mad wobblies for no apparent reason, whereas Sam is totally reliable and never does the unexpected

One of my bikes is slow, scruffy but reliable and isn't much use in the morning until it's fully warmed-up, the other is a fire-breathing demon that tries to kill me at every oppotunity. I call them Jekyll and Hyde.

I guess there's a bit of me in both (not in the biblical sense though) Smile
