I assume that you have the guide book/dvd?

As far as I can discern, there is no great secret. I would say: don't shit yourself. Instead, simply put aside some cash so you can swiftly resit if necessary. Being too nervous won't help.

You have to treat the test like an exam. But lucky for you, you know what the questions will be. You've got to practise, practise, practise. Mock test after mock test. You need to pinpoint the questions that are difficult for you and devise a way of remembering the answers. Leave post-it notes around your house with the answers for the most challenging questions.

There's no secret to passing a multi choice exam, just as there isn't if the subject was biology, maths, etc. What way of learning works for you? Remember: comprehension isn't required. You don't need to know why the answer to A is B: only that it is. Memorisation is enough. You need to make practise the substance of your life. Start in the morning, end in the evening: find something that works and stick with it.

What will work? I don't know. It's for you figure out. But there are a few keys. (1) If you're an average human being, you'll recall more at the beginning and the end of revision. Many, relaxed short lessons are much better than one, tiring long one. Do 30 minutes revision. Have a break, Go for a walk. Then do another 30 mins.. (2) Actively learn. Unless you've got a very good memory, you won't master much just reading the book, or watching a dvd etc. You need to build exercises yourself around the questions. Get friends involved, if necessary (but don't waste time if progress is slow.)

Think to yourself: "It would be good to pass first time. But if not, fuck it. I can always resit."

You will pass, its piss easy, Go in confidantly, if you fail deal with that afterwards, assume you will pass and then you can get down everything you know without nerves getting in the way...

When faced with multiple choice just do a process of elimination, you will usually be able to pick out two which sound a bit stupid or you know are plain wrong, and then if you have a gut feeling about one of the remaining ones go for it... Its just common sense IMO

Really Good DVD

Has all possible questions and a large selection of the Hazard Perception tests

It also allows you to sit actual mock tests with time limit amd a similar layout to the actual test centres



That DVD got me through my advanced driving with 1 days test after test after test, and then my Bike theory using the same revision method.
I do have a good memory though

Most of the theory test is just common sense to be honest.

If you have the dvd's books just give it a good read and practice with the dvd's.
You will find it's not too hard and the real test is the same thing.

I would advise you to practise the hazard perception part a lot to make sure you got it down so you know what to look for in the real test.

Hazard perception is the hardest part of the test but even so it's not too hard.

Good luck with your test and don't stress about it.

Not sure if this happens to you but it does me.. Don't revise just before the test because the mind may go blank..Relax.. Don't approach it thinking your going to fail.. Just be positive about it. If you fail, Your not going to fail though... Just don't be negative about things.. its what made my brother for the second time. He failed first time come out with things such as 'F*ck Sake.. This is Sh*t' And he went in the second time saying.. 'I'm going to fail anyway' and did.
