Hi All

i need to buy new downpipes this week cos mine are finally fooked and was wondering if theres any differences (in terms of power, acceleration etc) between a "4 into 1" system or "4 into 2 into 1" and is one preferrable to the other.

Ta Gaz.

What bike?

I know that fitting the 4-1 instead of standard 4-2-1 on the CBR400 causes a massive flat spot.

4-1 will provide more top end power at the expense of midrange

4-2-1 will give you more midrange at the expense of top end.

I would reckon that the bike would need setting up after changing the headers! Hense causing a flat spot for mudskipper.
