I am trying to split the cases on the rs 125, and I can't get the alternator and stator off cause I don't have 3 leg puller. Is there another way?
Please help..
Also the balance gears... They are to be renewed cause of the miles on the bike. Will they be expensive?
I need to remove one, which is also a really tight fit... Any tips?

hi,
im sure i seen a pic somewhere of a puller made up of a spanner & a couple of other things... will look around & see if i can find it.
failing that, why not pay the local mechanic to do it?
wouldnt take him long if hes got a puller.
i presume you have removed the engine from frame?
cheers,
GAZ

ive never sucessfully managed to split the crank cases on any smokey before, with out the correct tools.. and every time i try and fail, and end up taking it to the bike shop, normally it takes less than 10 mins, save your self the hassel and the potential to break something, and spend 10 euro Thumbs Up

The only hassle is it's pretty heavy and I don't have a car...
I tried to make my own puller but it bent the steel plate I used as if it was a leaf...
Hot air guns?

Imagine a copper stops you for some reason, and asks what you have in the bag. I bet his face would be priceless XD
