Hi my moped looks horrible at the moment as it has different colour panels round the rear light and underneath the bike, what i want to do is spray these white with the shiny coating the same aas the front (xteam) but do you just buy normal paint or...?

then once i have done this i was going to buy a speedfight sticker set to go over the bike,

any ideas or links to the paint needed?

thank you

to get it looking perfect you'll have to find out the specific paint, buy it, and use a paint gun to get it on.

Leave it how it is, save your money, get your licence and then get a proper bike with a matching paintscheme... Thumbs Up

Failing that, Matt black the ped Smile

I can almost guarentee your not going to get the same finish as what the panels are,

Due to the circumstances of me not having a paintgun at home atm, i did it with aerosol and everyone looks at it and asks why that panel looks so much different.

and its alot of prep work,
+ pug stickers are fucking expensive for what they are.
150 quid i was quoted for stickers for mine.

seriously, no.

if you are wanting a factory finish the best you can do is take it to a car body shop.

If you sand and prime the panels yourself it wount cost much to get them sprayed and lacquered.

Iv sprayed plastics before with cans and used the proper expensive stuff inc laquer and it turned out terrible and scratches/chips like hell.

Dunno about normal body shops
but if you brang us panels you'd sanded and primed
we would take the primer off and sand again ourselfs
as who knows how good your sanding/priming is.

As 5 months down the line when it all flakes off as someone has done shoddy work on it, you'd be the first to blame the bodyshop when it could well be your under prep work?

My spray can painting has turnout pretty good, better than it was too.

Go to a shop(Motosave/halfrauds) with a panel in the colour you want and match a tin up. Sand, prime & spray from there really.

oh, good man, do you have to do the shitty theory and key skills aswell?

possibly got a job lined up at a motorbike shop in town (yes, the place i bought the rs from..lol) just waiting for the interview date.

btw if you do spray from cans do use plenty of the good lacquer dont just give it a dusting of the stuff.
