Hi folks, i dont want to come across as spamming, but seen as tho this is for a good reason here goes.

basicly, as some of u will be aware they are closing down test centers all over the country, costing us tax payers £7m, an online petition from 10 downing street is being held, and i, and my community would be very greatfull for some more petitions.

Also, on the 11th of may, me and surrounding motorcycle dealers will be taking part in a 170 mile protest trip, riding 125's up and down the country to the test centers, anyone on any bike is welcome, all we ask is that you drive in a safe manner and stick with "the pack"

wow i feel like a spammer now Very Happy

Edit:
a cutting from the site.

At the end of September 2008 the DSA are closing the motorcycle test centres in Barrow-in-Furness and Kendal. The alternatives will be the proposed Multi-Purpose Test Centres at Blackburn and Carlisle. The result of this decision is that motorcyclists currently using the Barrow centre will now need to make a round trip of 156 miles to Blackburn (158 miles to Carlisle). The round trip is likely to take approximately 5 hours and require them to negotiate the busy cities of Lancaster and Preston en route. On top of this they will be asked to take their tests on completely unfamiliar roads. We believe the above situation is totally unacceptable. For inexperienced riders to travel these sorts of distances in the summer will be bad enough; in the winter it will be positively dangerous and expose the most vulnerable group of motorcyclists to unacceptable risk.

many thanks, Steve.

Really do have to wonder why people bother with the online petitions.
Lets face it, the biggest one with over a million sigs got a email response that was basically tough, we are going to do what we want regardless.....

Tis a bit too late for this now, sould have been when the idea was first thought of.

If they shut my local one(more when) which is literally 10mins away, I'd have to go to Hull. Makes it more Dangerous, 125's traveling to Hull from around the East? Daft sods, but as iooi said, no one with any leverage will care enough to do anything. Karma

Only way you'll get the message across is if you scale Buckingham Palace dressed as Batman Laughing
