I'm wanting to fit some twin headlights on the CB, all the 'universal' sets are waaaaay out of my budget, even used.
So I turned my thoughts to old sportsbike twin headlights, specifically CBR400, VFR400 etc. I reckon I will have a fair amount of choice at reasonable prices with bikes being broken up etc.
Anyway, my question is, how feasible is the compatability going to be? Obviously I will need to make some kind of solid mounting thing and bodge plastic covers of some sort too.
But how much of a nightmare is the wiring likely to be?
There is the issue of the CBR's being set to have lights on all the time, whereas obviously the CB's can be switched off. Would I try to keep the CBR functionality and if so, would the CB battery etc struggle with this?
Or would I be able to set up the CBR lights to function on the switch?
Any other potential problems I may have overlooked? Anyone else bodged light units made for a fairing, onto a naked bike before?

I saw the flip up one, I can get it at cost from my mates, quite like it but it's not really what I'm after - more looking at two distinct round lights as the CB already has a rectangular light so it wouldn't be much change.
Budget is sub 15 quid, hence bodgery thoughts! ____________________ CBR125|||GSXR400|||CBR400|||CBR400|||CB250RS|||GSXR750|||CB250RS

dont get any of those lights from busters anyway, they are absolute shite, plastic reflectors that dont give much light thrown down the road and if you try to put a bigger wattage bulb in then the reflector will just melt.
cheers
