Good fun bikes so I hear, not seen one in that colour before though! Seems a good price and it's good you have the exhausts (Akraprovic are usually quite expensive).

Most LC4 based bikes are around 3000, though some at some points are listed at 1500.

Note that the duke is more of a 'streetbike' rather than a particularly 'super'moto - the new 690 LC4 based Duke is listed like this.

Should be a reasonable 'first big bike', by the way.

Looks like a perfect in-town bike.

Probably v. easy to wheelie on too!

I used to have one in all black.

Really fun bike! Will not go much over 100 but will be a great 1st 'big bike'.

They are very tough as mine went down the road and was fine. And also come with WP suspension and Brembo brakes.

I considered buying one of these a while ago, and took one out for a test-ride - TBH i found the experience a tad underwhelming. It was great in town (nice to be able to see over the tops of cars, loads of leverage from the big wide bars), but once i got it onto 'the open road' i quickly discovered that i didn't like it at all, and would definately not be buying one. My main complaint was the engine - it seemed gutless from low-down to middle in the rev range, and revving it just seemed to make it vibrate more without actually adding anything.

The road i took it down is a nice mix of everything (few tight twisty sections, some nice open straights etc), but apart from the sections of 'flick-flack' left/right bends i really didn't enjoy the ride - on the straights i would rather have been watching paint dry.

So, if i lived in a large town or city, or lived on a road that no Roman had ever laid eyes upon, i think it would be a good choice. Looking at a quick route map of Hastings to Lewes (approx 30 miles on what appear to be fairly 'major' A roads) i can't think of a more badly suited bike to be on.

I hope your local dentist is friendly and cheap, because you're going to be seeing a lot more of him!

It would mainly be used for town rides and A roads from my place to eastbourne on a bike it would take about 20mins and there is only about 2 straights.

but then again hasnt every bike got its issues? i've heard so many people putting down bikes from honda's to Ktm but i think i'll be happy enough with the KTM DUKE deffently for sure at price of £2000 where it could be sold for 3000+

thanks for your review tho dude appreciate it

I wouldn't get too enthusiastic about what it could be sold for, definitely with the new 690 duke startinng at around 2k.
They should be an 'ok' bike, but don't expect much more than something like an SV650 - ie bit better suspension, but worse engine.
