In fact, I've just decided I'm naming my RVF "Elisha".

Very nice bike, I'd pick that every time over a shitty R6 and R1 I've seen on these forums recently, not saying which like...

A bike that suits my needs, what's your point?

I'm not going to do 20,000 miles a year on an R6 when I can do it for half the price (and pain) on something more suitable am I.

Just curious what you rode for you to be able to call R6's and R1's "shitty"

I see that as highly irrelevant considering my biking history stipulates I'm not just a CBR125 rider, I've had my time on sports bikes, they get boring after a while and they're completely useless for what I now use a bike for (covering a fuck load of miles).

That bandit is ten times more appealing than an R1 or R6, it's a very well done street fighter, not just a sports bike with some bolt ons, some actual work has gone in to it.

I agree with Shaun, I much prefer bikes with individuality.

Blah-6's and Blah-1's do nowt for me I'm afraid. Neutral

Personally I would prefer a bike like the OP has got that I had done at least some of the mods myself, rather than a ready made one.

But saying that, at least you know that passion and effort have made that bike, even if it's not your own. Thumbs Up Karma

Edit: And Luke, stop being so defensive, you big girl. Just cause Shaun gave his opinion of a certain bike, just like you did of the Bandit.

As far as I can see, the majority of the bike is "bolt ons" Confused

not typical bolt ons though are they.

It's not like he's flicked through the demon tweeks catalogue and picked out an R6 doubl bubble screen, R6 rearsets, R6 end can and some R6 brake discs.

Its got plenty of parts that weren't originally designed to go on that bike, a lot more work and effort has gone in to it making it individual instead of being just another tarty blah* 6.

*I likes thats

If you're willing to post saying you don't like someones bike then don't get pissy when someone points out why they prefer it over your usual preference of bikes.

No, you're right -- completely standard OEM Fireblade items aren't "typical" Confused

They're not typical to be found on a bandit no, surely evn you realise that?

LukeVFR wrote:
You could say the same about my R6 compared to another "bling" street fighter Bandit -- hardly rare, are they?

Street fightered bandits aren't rare no, well done ones are though, if you've got a well done one then chances are nobody else has anything smilar which is what makes them cool.

LukeVFR wrote:
I wouldn't even reply normally but it amuses me how you're calling R6's and R1's "shitty" when you have nothing better. Laughing

Which just makes you look bad. I told you some time ago I was contemplating getting a sports 6 as a toy, I decided against it because I literally never ride for pleasure anymore, so I stuck with the bike that covers a lot of miles comfotably and cheaply. Not having something I don't need doesn't mean I don't have an opinion on them.

Fitting different forks and a different swingarm to a Bandit is extremely "typical" for anyone turning it into a street fighter as at the end of the day, it's a commuter bike as standard. Surely even you realise that? I don't see how you can defend modifying a Bandit but use modifying my R6 against me. Laughing

What does it matter what it was as standard, I must be missing something here, I also haven't seen anyone claim it was a sports bike or anything else, so what are you getting at?

LukeVFR wrote:
And why isn't a tastefully modified R6 cool? There's so many shite examples out there with silly "YZF" grips and carbon look brake levers that I like to think mine is a pretty decent example with no expense spared.

'Cool' is down to opinion, you should know this, just because there's a lot of shite R6's out there doesn't suddenly make yours amazing to everyone. Cool is most certainly down to personal preference, that's what this whole thing is all about.

LukeVFR wrote:
I could say the same about buying a Ferrari. It doesn't mean I need to tell every Ferrari owner my opinion because I HAVEN'T GOT ANYTHING BETTER. Laughing

Again, what are you trying to get at with that?

unfortanty luke doesnt seem to understand other peoples opinions, as decused on another forum, luke doesnt like the bike - give a fuck! lol

with the amount of positive comments, you would of thought he would accept it.....but no

anyway im happy with the bike and thats all that matter, i paid £2850, yes it needs a new front tyre - but that why i knocked him down :s was up for £3,500.

i bet he would say my one off supermoto was a waste of time, even though that has had over £5k spent on it!
