I like it I love France, especially Normandy and Britanny and considering they both invaded us in the past we'll probably feel right home with them. Of course if you want to pretend that nothing ever changes and that "great" empires never fade, well live the dream... ____________________ My claim to fame: Austin Vince nicked my pen... |

Mmm...
Looks to me like a fairly harmless plan for promoting trade over a body of water. A bit like something a management consultant would cook up for £20k for the EU.
Probably will get taxpayers money but in the same way as Enterprise XXXXXXX (ours is Scottish Enterprise, you folks will have something similar down't south...)
I don't think for example it'll have an army... Well it will, they'll be 'Consultants' armed with very deep grasping pockets and ball point pens.
Other than that, I thought it was quite tame for the Daily Mail...

Look at all the sheep who believe everything the papers throw at them
Try reading the article properly and you'll realise it is just some kind of simulated proposal or a study if you will relating to EU funding, nothing of any consequence, and I bet there's a million more lying around in government offices.
Yet the papers simply tried to imply it was a plan for EU domination and the abolition of the UK, if they didn't put that kind of spin on it then nobody would read it or buy the paper or talk about it amongst themselves, but they're ok, because they've got you to rely on.. |
