Like the look of it? That's what will now be known as the "Manche Region". Southern England and Northern France will become one area.

Similarly, western England, Wales, Ireland, and parts of Portugal, Spain, France and Scotland will now be known as the "Atlantic Region".

Eastern England, including areas of Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Norway and the Netherlands will join to make the "North Sea Region".


Allow me to paste a small snippet from the source, so the cynics among you can see just how serious this is.


The UK Government is fully behind the project, even though the words "England" and "Britain" are left off official maps of each area and the Manche Region renames the English Channel "The Channel Sea".

Each region, which will be given taxpayers' money to promote trade links, cultural ties, transport policies and tourism, is to be run by a "managing authority" of unelected officials overseen by a director.

None will be based in the UK, with Manche ruled by the French, Atlantic by the Portuguese and North Sea by the Danes.

Yes and? , the thing is politicians have sold the country out on future bribes.

Ie Blunkett had an interest in EDS who conviently was to provide the tech for ID cards, no conflict of interest there is there.

Current batch of MPs have sold out to the EU who is unaccountable to anybody not even its auditors.

However somebody forgot to tell these MPs by 2015-2020 Europe will be economically ruined, even BMW is moving its plants away from Europe. And you can't run an economy on retail without huge trade deficits which can't last long.

So in plain English, is this actually happening or not?

This is just plan B, they tried to split England into regions to have more control over us, it failed this is just plan B, if they fail this they will try plan C and D and E and so on.

The only way to prevent it happening is if the Euro collaspes , which there is a fair chance of it actually happening.

London makes lots of money right? , it subsidises us people in the north. Londoners don't like this , but its semi acceptable as we are all English (more or less) right?.

Currently the US is exactly the same , some states are wealthy some are poor and there is cross subsidy between the states, but they are ALL americans right, and all english speaking and all have things in common right?.


They are trying to do the same in Europe , Germany is the engine of the EU, its economy is booming, Spain and Italy are languishing badly, thus you can't decrease interest rates as normal as this would hurt Germany , you can't increase them as Germany wants cus it'd hurt Spain + Italy.

Thus a need for cross subsidy, the thing is although people are ok about subsidising their own people as above examples, they are less good about subsidising other countries like those flipping Polish guys on TV last year who complained but if we don't get our EU money we cannot finish our motorways.

Us Brits say why should we subsidise X and Y , the Germans are thinking the same.

It just shows one size doesn't fit all,

I'm as English as the next man, and don't really like being tied in with the frogs, but at the end of the day two things come to mind.

There must be like a 5% chance of this happening. Let's be honest the Daily Mail aren't exactly the pinnacle of accurate reporting, one could argue they are as sensational as the red tops.

No EU constition or treaty will ever be able to steal British/English heritage. We can be under the bracket of Manche region, but as for discrediting our Englishness? We couldn't be any further away from European culture if we tried.
