Hi

Has anyone had any experience of getting Schuberth helmets repaired?

I managed to drop my C1 today.

A very small drop and onto carpet but as luck would have it, it landed on the partially opened visor which subsequently pinged off.

The visor won't go back on properly on one side. The rotating ratchet bit has been pushed into towards the helmet and none of my allen keys will fit the bolt.

If I have to have it repaired at a dealer does anyone have any idea of lead times on parts and likely cost?

Ta

Mark

From this Schuberth pdf manual.

Could always get in touch and see what they say.

Thumbs Up

Thanks. I still have my manual (The helmet's only a few months old Sad )

I'll probably try my dealer though - its one of the parts thats not listed as available to purchase by owners due to safety reasons.

Schuberth will tell you to talk to the UK importer, who are Oxford Products.

I had problems with the J1 visor, due to a design fault, and ended up dealing with Gemma and William at Oxford, both of whom are really nice and helpful.

Found an allen key at work that fitted.

Took the hinge/ratchet apart and reseated it all and it seems ok now.

Thanks all.
