A Goose because its cheaper, lighter, faster than a cb-1 (if cb-1 is restricted), more low down grunt for wheelies (think DR350), would handle better (monoshock chassis), cheaper insurance and be a lot more fun to ride. Shame about the name though Razz

I'd go for the CB-1 purely for Honda reliabilty, but perhaps the Goose for a little more individuality.

Errr... yeah ok. I mean Suzuki's blow up all the time, especially DR350's Rolling Eyes

Nah but seriously, the Goose is a better bike. Look at the specification for a start, the CB-1 is a bloody commuter bike, the Goose is an ex-cafe-racer bike, sort it out lad Very Happy

Now don't anyone even think a CB-1 looks anywhere near as good Wink

Goose for *me*.

However I would definatley reccomend you get a test ride on both.

Much as I like big singles, going from the klr to the zx was interestig (obviously a bigger difference in hp) ... at first I kept shifting up at 7000 because it offered similar performance to the klr at this point. When I got it into my brain that the fun happened after 7k it was a whole nother kettle of marine based life forms.

While I probably would take the goose over the cb, if you are planning to do long journeys or keep up with other faster bikes you are going to have a lot more trouble on the goose (though the handling *should* be a fair bit better).

Okay that should ahve read 'have a hope of keeping up with faster bike' You would probably be okay <80mph ish, but I expect over this more powerfull bikes will bugger off, especially over 100 and we're talking anything more powerfull.

im not bothered about that, top speed wouldnt even be used cos we're only allowed to do 70mph right? im more bothered about 0-60 and nova bashing. it has to beat any car on the road (obv wit the odd exceptions) i dont want some TWAT in his bm beating me at the lights

In that case it won't matter which you get, just downgear the bike you get so it's max speed is 70mph and it'll be fast as fuck off the lights.

rev the tits of the CB-1 and it will move!

less effort required on the goose's part, as its got more torque, and probly lighter as well

both will kick most cars arse not a problem

i can beat most things with the CBR, makes a lot of noise, but wins Smile
