In my usual random ebay browsing I came across a company that does custom performance exhausts for CBR125s and the like. Went to their website and what's much more interesting are their 60s Honda race replicas:

It's a 125 twin (I'm assuming based on the CB) so historically it's closest to the RC142 of 1959, which as far as I'm aware was the first bike Honda sent to the TT.

Who wants a CBR125? Neutral

(Okay... so it does cost around £4k...)

It's worth £4,000. The cool factor of that bike is off the scale.

I wish! It's not mine dude, there's a company in Cornwall or something selling them, they're replicas of an old Honda race bike from the 60s. There's a link in my first post.

just seen this post - cool bike! Can't help but wonder though if they would do one using the CB250 twin engine as a donor - give it a bit more pep...now if I only had 4k to spend...

It looks very much like an attempt at a replica of the Mike Hailwood Honda 6 250cc, or was it a 125?, used at that time in the Isle Of Man TT. Health and safety wasn`t a priority at that time!! Very Happy Very Happy Thumbs Up Thumbs Up -Jockey.

I think it's influenced by any of the Honda racers from the era - the Honda 50cc twin, the 5-cyl 125, the 250 six... awesome bikes the lot of them.

As for a modern reg, I'd think realistically it'd run the same plate as the donor CB125, unless it uses so little of the original bike you have to get it SVA'd.

They are based in Brixham, South Devon. Just up the road from me. Its 2 brothers who make the stuff. And one of them is my mates dad. They used to race and now build replicas of the sort of bikes they raced.
They make them from cb's as said earlier. for 4 grand plus a doner bike. Should see it in the flesh looks even better. It is loud though, its a straight through pipe makes my ears bleed. Can hear it a mile off.
I'm not sure on the reg actually, will find out for you.

They also have made a 50cc twin version.
